This has been a good year for me in musical terms. I’ve discovered Ableton Live, various other audio software and acquired a nice MIDI keyboard controller to compliment my guitar hardware.
I’ve discovered a love of electronic music and ambient sound-scapes but perhaps the best thing of all has been the warm and supportive community of like minded people making electronic and experimental music out there.

I got talking to oh/ex/oh on twitter a couple of weeks ago. I was struck by the similarity in the paths we are treading despite being separated by the Pennines. He’s on the Manchester side. I’m on the Sheffield side. I have to say I absolutely love his music.
